I get asked all the time about the leashes, collars, interactive toys and equipment that I use. Since every dog and every dog-owner combo and situation is different, I usually send a personalized recommendation for the equipment I feel would serve my client best. But there are some staples which are my standard go to’s, so I decided to make a list of some of my favorites that can work for anyone.

Pet owners love to flood their pooches with all kinds of toys and don’t always realize there is a selection of interactive toys that can actually benefit their dogs and relieve their boredom or anxieties. I put together some examples of the types of interactive toys I get for my own dogs.

As to “obedience” or “walking” equipment, there isn’t anything out there which will transform your distracted, pull-you-down-the-street dog to an instant model canine citizen. Leashes, collars and harnesses are not magic, you still have to put in the work, however there are certain tools when used properly, that can help communicate to your pup what you want them to do.

I try to update these lists regularly so check back for updates.
